Crypto Futures Liquidations Top $455 Million as Longs Take 93.7%

Ether led asset-level liquidations at roughly $135 million, while Bitcoin traded near $81,400 after a 2.27% 24-hour decline.

Crypto futures liquidations exceeded $455 million in the past hour as falling prices forced long-position traders to close, with longs accounting for 93.7% of the total losses.

Long liquidations reached $427 million, compared with $28.57 million for short positions. Binance recorded the largest exchange total at $263 million, followed by Bybit at $68.49 million, Gate at $36.97 million and OKX at $30.7 million. Long positions made up at least 94% of liquidations on those exchanges.

Ether led liquidations by asset at roughly $135 million, while Bitcoin followed at about $81.33 million. Solana, XRP, Zcash and Dogecoin recorded approximately $21.94 million, $17.1 million, $14.08 million and $10.36 million, respectively.

Bitcoin traded near $81,400, down 2.27% over 24 hours, while Ether changed hands at about $2,454, down 4.33%. Zcash posted the steepest 24-hour decline among the listed assets at 14.42%.

HTX was an exception to the broader pattern: More than 94% of its $20.1 million in liquidations came from short positions.
