Add as a preferred source on GoogleXRP Jumps 2.1% in One Hour to $1.36; Shorts Lead Liquidations
XRP was down 4.74% over 24 hours at 2:38 p.m. ET on Oct. 8, despite the sharp hourly move.
Ripple’s XRP rose from $1.33 to $1.36 in one hour, gaining 2.07% by 2:38 p.m. ET (18:38 UTC) on Oct. 8, based on TokenPost’s direct collection of exchange prices.
The move came as XRP remained down 4.74% over the previous 24 hours. The $1.36 reading was recorded on Binance’s spot XRP/USDT market.
Liquidations during the same one-hour period totaled $80,000 for long positions and $180,000 for short positions across Binance, Bybit and OKX. Short liquidations were therefore more than twice the value of long liquidations.
XRP ranked fifth by market capitalization at about $83.62869 billion when the price was recorded.
