NEAR Protocol Leads Crypto Declines With 15.58% Drop

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) posted the steepest decline among the listed major cryptocurrencies, falling 15.58% to $4.58 as broad losses spread across the market.

The move came during the 24 hours ending Oct. 8 at 4:03 p.m. ET (20:03 UTC). Of the 90 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, excluding stablecoins, 67 declined and 23 advanced.

Pump.fun (PUMP), ranked No. 44 by market capitalization, fell 14.77% to $0.00552. Zcash (ZEC), ranked No. 10, declined 12.58% to $1,167.

Injective (INJ) dropped 10.22% to $6.76, while Avalanche (AVAX), ranked No. 28, lost 9.87% to $10.11.

Bitway (BTW), ranked No. 33, led the gainers, rising 8.93% to $1.40. Akedo (AKE) advanced 6.96% to $0.0292, and Ondo (ONDO), ranked No. 48, gained 4.03% to $0.491.

Jupiter (JUP) rose 3.42% to $0.338, while Aerodrome Finance (AERO) increased 3.22% to $0.825.

Bitcoin (BTC) stood at $81,755, down 2.08% over 24 hours. Ether (ETH) traded at $2,463, a 4.29% decline.
