An Ethereum whale was liquidated on a 28,716-ETH position valued at about $69.7 million but continued adding to its long, bringing the position to 78,955 ETH worth roughly $196 million.

The whale’s remaining positions carried liquidation prices of $2,299.09 and $2,286.28. A long position gains value when the underlying asset rises but faces forced closure if prices fall far enough to breach its collateral requirements.

The activity followed a market decline that triggered the liquidation. The whale’s continued accumulation leaves it with substantial exposure to further moves in Ether (ETH).
