University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Reading Due Friday at 10 a.m. ET

The University of Michigan’s Consumer Survey Center is scheduled to release its monthly consumer sentiment reading Friday at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC), giving markets a gauge of household views on the economy and its outlook.

The index is expected to come in at 47.0. The survey measures consumers’ assessments of current economic conditions and their expectations for future conditions.

The release is the only economic update listed on Friday’s calendar.
