Litecoin Open Interest Rises 15.22% as MACD Histogram Remains at Zero
Litecoin was reported at $64.20 on Oct. 9, while mixed momentum readings left the token in a conditional range between $59.39 and $67.35.

Litecoin (LTC) was reported at $64.20 on Oct. 9, down 0.34% over 24 hours, as Binance Futures open interest climbed 15.22% and technical indicators provided no clear near-term direction.
Open interest reached 1,205,329.20 contracts, with an estimated value of about $90.66 million. The increase points to greater futures participation but does not show whether traders are positioned for gains or declines.
Litecoin remained below its seven-day simple moving average of $67.65 and its 20-day simple moving average of $67.44. It was also below its 12-day exponential moving average of $66.77 and 26-day EMA of $64.35, while staying above its 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages at $58.34 and $51.66.
The MACD line and signal line were both 2.4290, leaving the MACD histogram at 0.0000. The zero reading shows that the two lines were equal in the snapshot but does not confirm a reversal.
Other momentum readings were mixed. The 14-period relative strength index was 50.16, while the Stochastic oscillator showed %K at 23.02 and %D at 18.42.
Binance’s funding rate was negative at -0.0068% per eight-hour settlement. The one-hour taker buy/sell ratio was 0.9904, based on buy volume of 19,677 and sell volume of 19,867.
At 3 a.m. ET (07:00 UTC), Binance’s global account long/short ratio was 2.0211, with 66.9% of accounts long and 33.1% short. The top-trader ratio was 2.7622, or 73.4% long and 26.6% short. These figures describe account groups on the exchange at one moment and do not represent the broader market.
The pivot was $63.37, with resistance at $65.78 and $67.35. Support stood at $61.80 and $59.39. The Bollinger Bands ranged from $59.53 to $75.36, with a middle band at $67.44, while the 14-period average true range was $2.96.
The technical setup places Litecoin in a conditional range rather than confirming a breakout. It differs from an earlier Litecoin report covering a 7.56% four-hour rise on Sept. 24 to $74.15.
