Optimism’s OP traded near $0.12 on Binance spot Oct. 9, 2026, as futures open interest rose 12.09% and account data showed a higher long-account share among top traders than across all accounts.

OP was up 1.14% over 24 hours and remained above the $0.11 support level in a reported $0.11-to-$0.13 range. The token was also near the lower Bollinger Band at $0.12, while the upper band was listed at $0.15.

Futures open interest increased to about $18.15 million, representing 136.7 million contracts. The increase indicates more outstanding futures contracts, but it does not show whether traders added net-long, net-short or hedging positions.

At 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC), the global-account long/short ratio was 1.0877. That represented 52.1% of accounts being long and 47.9% being short. Among top-trader accounts, the ratio was 1.6089, with 61.7% long and 38.3% short.

The account figures measure the share of accounts on each side of the market, not the size of their positions or their overall exposure. They also covered a single one-hour snapshot rather than broader retail or institutional sentiment.

Buying activity exceeded selling during the measured hour. Taker buy volume was $12.7 million, compared with $11.5 million in sell volume, producing a taker buy/sell ratio of 1.1026.

Other indicators were mixed. The funding rate was 0.0100% per eight-hour settlement. The relative strength index was 50.11, while the MACD and signal line were both listed at 0.0038. Daily average true range was $0.01.

The levels describe the reported technical setup and do not establish a confirmed price target. The $0.11 level remained the listed support, while $0.13 was the listed resistance.
