Ether (ETH) held near $2,500 Friday as U.S. spot Ether exchange-traded funds extended their net-outflow streak to eight sessions, signaling continued withdrawals during a broader derivatives selloff.

The funds recorded $72.5 million in net outflows on Oct. 8, bringing October’s total through that session to $578.9 million. The streak began Sept. 29 and has reached $641.3 million in cumulative outflows. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for $71.1 million of the latest withdrawal, while Fidelity’s FETH recorded a $5.5 million inflow and Morgan Stanley’s MSSE posted a $1.3 million inflow.

ETH traded around $2,510 Friday after moving between $2,409.36 and $2,539.98 over the previous 24 hours.

At 1:15 p.m. ET Thursday (17:15 UTC), total crypto liquidations stood at $1.12 billion, including $318.3 million in Ether liquidations and $1.04 billion in liquidated long positions. A later 24-hour snapshot showed total liquidations of $1.19 billion and Ether liquidations of about $356 million, reflecting different measurement windows.

The ETF withdrawals indicate that redemptions exceeded creations during the reported sessions but do not establish what caused Ether’s price movement.
