Ether Drop to $2,420 Liquidates $69.7 Million Hyperliquid Position

A leveraged Hyperliquid trader lost $69.69 million after 28,716 Ether (ETH) was liquidated during a drop to about $2,420, then reopened a large long position with fresh margin.

About 30 minutes after the liquidation, the trader added $10 million in USD Coin (USDC) and opened a new long for 9,580 ETH near $2,428. The position was valued at roughly $23.26 million.

The account still held about 78,955 ETH in long positions, with liquidation levels near $2,299.09 and $2,286.28. Its broader long book was valued at about $288 million and included 1,140 Bitcoin (BTC) worth roughly $93.31 million.
