Goldman Sachs raised its price target for SpaceX to $230 from $220 while reiterating a buy rating, setting a target about 37% above Wednesday’s close as the shares traded near $167.

The revised target is roughly $5 above SpaceX’s all-time high of $225.64, reached June 16. Shares later declined to $104.83 in early August before recovering.

Jim Cramer supported the increase, saying the higher target strengthened the earlier valuation. “The $10 bump from $220 to $230 ratified their previous $220 figure,” Cramer said. “Maybe there really is some rigor to this analysis.”

SpaceX’s valuation reflects expectations for growth across its Starlink satellite internet business, reusable rocket operations and longer-term computing plans. The company also rents excess computing capacity to businesses including Anthropic and Google.

The shares were valued at about 137 times estimated earnings for the next 12 months at the time of the report. That valuation leaves the stock sensitive to changes in expectations for SpaceX’s businesses and future financial performance.

Cramer said SpaceX remains too speculative for his Charitable Trust, even as he viewed the company’s progress as increasingly tangible. The Goldman Sachs target now stands about $63 above the reported share price of roughly $167.
