AguilaTrades Suffers $545,000 Liquidation Loss After Return
The trader first lost $331,000 on a Bitcoin long before opening a $16.35 million short that was later liquidated.

AguilaTrades suffered a $545,000 liquidation loss in one day after returning to crypto trading following more than six months away from the market.
The loss followed a sequence in which AguilaTrades first lost $331,000 on a Bitcoin (BTC) long, then opened a $16.35 million short that was later liquidated. The short position represented 200 BTC and carried a liquidation price of $82,703.32 per bitcoin.
AguilaTrades’ accumulated trading losses had previously reached $38.16 million. Earlier losses included a $250,000 loss on a Bitcoin short position after BTC rebounded above $83,000.
That trading sequence reduced the trader’s capital from $700,000 to $150,000 within one day. AguilaTrades has also recorded 33 liquidations and losses of more than $37 million from earlier Bitcoin trading activity.
The return began with a planned 40x Bitcoin long described in earlier coverage. AguilaTrades deposited 499,000 USD Coin (USDC) on Hyperliquid after more than six months away and planned a position worth about $16.58 million. The position had a liquidation price of $81,466.75.
The latest loss adds another liquidation to AguilaTrades’ history of leveraged Bitcoin positions.
