Gram (GRAM) rose 6.69% to close at $1.48 on Oct. 9 as Telegram broadened access to Money, its non-custodial wallet for token transfers and Telegram-native collectibles.

Money had previously been available to only some Telegram users. The wallet is now being rolled out across Telegram’s audience of more than 1 billion people.

Users can store and send Gram through Money, buy gifts and collectible usernames, and top up their balances from Walt accounts. Transfers between the services are described as instant and carry zero network fees.

Gram is the current name of Toncoin (TON), the native asset of the TON blockchain. The June 15 name change did not alter the blockchain, and existing balances did not require a token swap or migration.
