Bitcoin Gains 0.98% as Crypto Market Cap Falls to $2.79 Trillion
Bitcoin reached $82,522 at 5:03 p.m. ET Friday as marketwide trading volume totaled $77.66 billion and crypto liquidations reached $114.7 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.98% to $82,522 by 5:03 p.m. ET Friday as the total crypto market capitalization fell 2.03% to $2.79 trillion, showing a mixed session across major digital assets.
Trading volume over the 24-hour period reached $77.66 billion. Bitcoin represented 59.2% of the market, while Ether accounted for 10.8%.
Ether (ETH) gained 0.46% to $2,484, XRP advanced 1.01% to $1.39 and BNB increased 0.94% to $740.99. Dogecoin (DOGE) also rose 0.94% to $0.0850.
Solana (SOL) declined 0.57% to $109.08, making it the only decliner among the major coins listed in the market update.
Polkadot (DOT) was the strongest performer among the top 39 assets, climbing 12.73%. Pump.fun (PUMP) was the weakest, falling 5.59%.
Crypto derivatives markets recorded $114.7 million in liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX over the same 24-hour period. Short positions accounted for $66.1 million, compared with $48.6 million in liquidated long positions.
