Solana led funding rates across five major crypto assets in the Oct. 9 snapshot, even as its open interest declined while traders maintained net-long positioning.

Solana (SOL) funding reached 0.0100% every eight hours, equal to 10.9% annualized. Open interest fell 2.65% over 24 hours to $925.6 million, while long accounts represented 70.2% of positions and short accounts accounted for 29.8%.

Positive funding means traders holding long positions pay those holding short positions. The same funding direction appeared across Bitcoin, Ether, XRP and Dogecoin.

Bitcoin (BTC) funding stood at 0.0067% every eight hours, or 7.4% annualized. Open interest increased 0.43% to $7.64 billion, with long accounts at 59.5% and short accounts at 40.5%. Bitcoin’s mark price was $82,589.

Ether (ETH) funding was 0.0064% every eight hours, equivalent to 7.0% annualized. Open interest rose 1.40% to $5.83 billion. Long accounts made up 74.9% of positions, compared with 25.1% for shorts, and Ether’s mark price was $2,488.

XRP funding reached 0.0020% every eight hours, or 2.2% annualized. Open interest edged up 0.07% to $409.4 million. Long accounts represented 70.3% of positions, while short accounts represented 29.7%. XRP’s mark price was $1.39.
