Three Dormant Ethereum Wallets Deposit 2,903 ETH Into Coinbase

Three wallets believed to belong to a single Ethereum whale deposited 2,903 Ether (ETH), worth about $7.22 million, into Coinbase after more than nine years of inactivity.

The transfer was valued at about $7.22 million. The wallets had received the ETH at roughly $9.90 per coin nine years ago; the source calculation puts the increase in value at about 250 times.

The transaction involved the movement of long-dormant holdings to a major U.S. cryptocurrency exchange. The transfer does not establish whether the ETH was sold, converted or retained in a Coinbase account.
