Binance Ether perpetuals showed a $12.1292 million surplus of sell orders in the latest order-book snapshot, indicating heavier near-term selling pressure as Ether traded at $2,494.94.

The market had $68.793 million in sell orders and $56.6638 million in buy orders. The difference gave sellers a clear edge in the displayed depth.

Binance’s spot market and Coinbase’s spot market also had more sell orders than buy orders, although both showed smaller order-book totals than Binance perpetuals.

Order-book depth reflects pending buy and sell interest rather than completed trades. Markets with thinner books can see sharper price moves when large orders enter, because fewer orders are available to absorb the activity.
