Bitcoin (BTC) is trading near a capital-weighted cost-basis indicator in a pattern resembling market conditions from late 2025 through early 2026, with $80,500 emerging as a potential support level.

Darkfost said the $80,500 area may serve as a key near-term support level as Bitcoin fluctuates around the indicator.

Unlike realized price, which reflects acquisition prices, a capital-weighted cost-basis indicator adjusts holders’ costs based on the amount of capital invested. The measure therefore helps show whether the market is, on average, in profit or loss.

The current range places investors near the dividing line between average gains and losses. That uncertainty may encourage more market participants to take action.

Further price action around the indicator will require continued monitoring.
