U.S. Spot Ether ETFs Lose $542.2 Million in Weekly Outflows
Spot Solana ETFs also posted $25 million in outflows, ending a 14-week inflow streak as crypto-fund flows turned lower.

U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded $542.2 million in net outflows from Oct. 5 through Oct. 9, extending a nine-trading-day redemption streak and marking a sharp reversal in institutional fund flows.
The withdrawals totaled $50.8 million on Oct. 5, $201.9 million on Oct. 6, $160.9 million on Oct. 7, $72.5 million on Oct. 8 and $56.1 million on Oct. 9. The nine-day streak, which began Sept. 29, reached $697.2 million in total outflows.
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, known by its ticker ETHA, accounted for $477 million of the weekly Ether withdrawals, or about 88% of the category total. Ether ETF products ended the week with $15.71 billion in net assets.
Spot Solana ETFs also turned negative, recording $25 million in outflows during the same five-session period and ending a 14-week inflow streak. Bitwise’s Solana ETF, BSOL, represented $20.9 million of those withdrawals. Solana ETF net assets stood at $1.73 billion.
ETF net flows measure creations minus redemptions. A negative result means withdrawals exceeded new purchases, but the figures do not establish why investors redeemed shares or whether money moved into another crypto asset.
