Polkadot Holds Near $1.24 as Flat Momentum Leaves $1.30 Unresolved
DOT remains near the midpoint of its $1.19–$1.30 range, with $1.27 serving as the next technical test and momentum readings largely flat.

Polkadot (DOT) traded at $1.24 at 3 a.m. ET (07:00 UTC) Oct. 11, down 0.56% over 24 hours, leaving the token near the midpoint of its recent $1.19–$1.30 range.
The range runs from $1.19 support to $1.30 resistance. A move above $1.27 would put $1.30 in focus, while the available indicators show largely flat momentum rather than a clear shift in direction.
The moving average convergence-divergence (MACD) line and signal line both stood at 0.0383, producing a histogram reading of zero. The 14-period relative strength index was 57.29, while Stochastic %K stood at 80.14 and %D at 64.11.
DOT was above the listed moving averages. The seven-, 20-, 50- and 200-period simple moving averages were $1.20, $1.19, $1.07 and $1.05, respectively. The 12- and 26-period exponential moving averages were $1.20 and $1.16.
The token’s recent move follows Polkadot’s annual issuance reduction and dotUSD governance developments, which were covered as DOT rebounded to $1.27 on Oct. 10.
The Oct. 6 technical setup identified $1.19 as support and $1.30 as the first upside level. It placed $1.40 beyond that level only if DOT records a daily close above $1.30 and moves through a trendline near $1.33.
For now, the technical picture centers on whether DOT can clear $1.27 and approach the $1.29–$1.30 area while holding above $1.19.
