U.S. Stock Markets Will Trade Normally Monday Despite Holiday
NYSE and Nasdaq will keep regular hours Oct. 12, while the U.S. bond market closes and some futures contracts may operate on modified schedules.

U.S. stock markets will operate on regular schedules Monday, Oct. 12, keeping equity trading open while the U.S. bond market closes for the Columbus Day holiday, also observed in many places as Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will follow their normal trading hours. The bond-market closure is expected to reduce liquidity and pause price discovery for debt securities during the holiday.
Futures markets generally will remain open, but some contracts may use modified hours. Cryptocurrency markets are also expected to remain open, preserving continuous access for digital-asset trading while traditional U.S. debt markets are closed.
Banking closures may affect fiat transactions.
Market participants will return to the regular schedule after the holiday, with stock trading continuing Monday.
