U.S. Inflation and Jobs Data Set Crypto Calendar for Week Ahead
September CPI and PPI reports are due Wednesday and Thursday, while employment data and a Federal Reserve event add to the week’s macro schedule.

The U.S. economic calendar will bring new inflation, employment and producer-price readings to cryptocurrency markets during the week of Oct. 12–16, with several releases scheduled before the Federal Reserve’s next meeting.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to publish September Consumer Price Index data Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC). CPI measures prices paid by consumers for goods and services.
September Producer Price Index data is due Thursday, Oct. 15, at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC). PPI measures prices received by domestic producers.
The latest available figures showed August CPI rising 0.4% from the previous month and 3.4% from a year earlier. Core CPI, which excludes food and energy, increased 0.3% month over month and 2.4% year over year.
August PPI increased 0.4% from the prior month and 5.4% over the 12 months ended in August.
Employment indicators are scheduled to begin the week. ADP’s weekly employment pulse is listed for Tuesday, Oct. 13, and uses aggregated and anonymized payroll data covering more than 26 million U.S. employees.
The latest unemployment-insurance release before the week showed 197,000 seasonally adjusted initial claims for the week ended Oct. 3. The four-week moving average was 198,000.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is also scheduled to release September U.S. import and export price indexes Friday, Oct. 16, at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC).
The Federal Reserve calendar lists Chairman Kevin Warsh for a fireside chat in Bangkok on Oct. 15. The listed time zone is unspecified.
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) are liquidity-sensitive assets assessed alongside inflation and labor-market data when considering the potential path of interest rates and liquidity-sensitive assets. Ethereum is the network supporting Ether.
The crypto market’s Fear & Greed Index stood at 61, classified as “Greed,” when accessed Oct. 11.
The releases will arrive ahead of the Federal Reserve’s next scheduled two-day meeting on Oct. 27–28. The central bank’s press conference is scheduled for Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. ET (6 p.m. UTC).
