USD.AI’s CHIP Market Cap Climbs to $135.7 Million in October
CHIP’s market capitalization rose from $85.2 million on Oct. 1 to $135.7 million on Sunday, Oct. 11, while intraday 24-hour performance readings varied.

USD.AI’s CHIP token recorded a sharp increase in market capitalization during October, reaching $135.7 million on Sunday, Oct. 11, as trading activity also accelerated and intraday price readings diverged.
CHIP’s market capitalization rose from $85.2 million on Oct. 1 to $135.7 million on Oct. 11 based on UTC daily records. Trading volume reached $52.7 million on Oct. 11, compared with $11.5 million on Oct. 10.
The token traded at $0.0692, up 34.03% over 24 hours, at 11:18 a.m. ET (15:18 UTC) Sunday, Oct. 11. A later snapshot at 5:21 p.m. ET (21:21 UTC) placed CHIP at $0.0682, up 1.07% over the same measure.
The readings reflect different prices and measurement times rather than one uniform 24-hour market gain. The market-cap increase, however, shows that the token’s valuation was substantially higher in the Oct. 11 daily record than at the start of the month.
CHIP is USD.AI’s governance and utility token. Holders can vote on collateral standards, interest rates, loan eligibility, protocol upgrades, integrations, fees, approved curators and ecosystem initiatives.
USD.AI describes its protocol as a permissionless lending protocol for financing artificial-intelligence infrastructure with GPU hardware as collateral. Its products include USDai, sUSDai and CHIP.
Staked CHIP may act as a backstop when loan losses exceed reserves or an oracle fails. The token does not represent ownership of the protocol. The USD.AI Foundation said in a January announcement that “CHIP does not entitle holders to protocol revenue.”
USD.AI said CHIP launched publicly on April 21, 2026. Its April recap said active loans had exceeded $100 million.
David Choi, CEO of USD.AI, described the protocol’s model by saying, “AI companies are paying real interest on actual hardware, but where does that yield go? It goes back to you.”
