Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was listed at $286.90 in an Oct. 12 market snapshot after trading between $276.90 and $289.10, while derivatives activity showed more sell-side than buy-side taker volume.

The 24-hour change was listed at 3.28%. BCH remained below its seven-day simple moving average of $287.57, the 12-period exponential moving average of $293.76 and the 26-period EMA of $291.02. It remained above its 50-day SMA of $274.30.

Longer-term averages were higher, with the 20-day SMA at $310.09 and the 200-day SMA at $300.63. The reported resistance levels were $291.70 and $296.50, while support stood at $279.50 and $272.10. The pivot was $284.30.

The MACD and signal line were both 2.7445, producing a histogram of zero. That reading shows equality between the two lines but does not establish a bullish or bearish direction. The relative strength index was 48.27, while stochastic %K was 34.07 and %D was 27.26.

Binance futures positioning recorded at 3 a.m. ET (07:00 UTC) showed 60% of tracked accounts long and 40% short, producing a global long-short ratio of 1.4981. The top-trader ratio was 2.0902, with 67.6% long and 32.4% short.

The one-hour taker buy-sell ratio was 0.7324, based on 11,453 buy-side contracts and 15,637 sell-side contracts. A ratio below 1 indicates more reported sell-side taker volume than buy-side volume during the period.

Open interest stood at 306,317.47 contracts, representing $88.5 million in notional value, down 0.97% over 24 hours. The eight-hour funding rate was 0.0039% negative.

The combination of mixed technical readings, a zero MACD histogram and seller-heavy taker activity left the latest BCH move without a confirmed directional signal.
