XRP Spot Volume Falls $1.943 Billion as Futures Trading Dominates
Binance’s spot-to-futures volume ratio fell to 12.7%, while U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs recorded $11.31 million in weekly net inflows.

XRP’s price recovery to about $1.40 has not brought a comparable return in spot trading, with centralized-exchange volume falling sharply as futures activity takes a larger share of the market.
From Aug. 26 through Oct. 11, centralized exchanges recorded a combined $1.943 billion contraction in XRP spot volume. Binance accounted for $429 million of the decrease as its seven-day average spot volume dropped from $597 million to $168 million.
Spot volume across other centralized exchanges fell from $2 billion to $485.8 million, a reduction of $1.514 billion. That decline was more than three times larger than the drop on Binance.
Binance’s spot-to-futures volume ratio also weakened. The measure fell from 31% on Sept. 26 to 12.7% on Oct. 11, meaning futures volume was about 7.9 times larger than spot volume. Fifteen days earlier, futures volume was about 3.2 times higher.
The ratio is approaching its Aug. 16 low of 11%, when XRP traded below $0.99. XRP now trades around $1.40, but spot participation has not recovered at the same pace.
The imbalance may indicate that traders are waiting for lower entry prices. A similar pattern emerged in mid-August before XRP recorded a sharp rebound later that month.
ETF demand has remained stronger. U.S.-listed spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $11.31 million in net inflows last week, including $3.14 million on Oct. 6 and $8.17 million on Oct. 8.
Cumulative net inflows reached a record $1.8 billion, extending the funds’ streak of positive weekly flows to 13 consecutive weeks. The latest figures extend TokenPost’s earlier coverage of XRP spot ETF inflows.
