Gate Moves Into Global Top Three After $396.4 Billion September Volume
The exchange overtook Bybit as its derivatives market share rose to 10.1%, while it expanded into stock event contracts and payments.

Gate ranked third globally by derivatives trading volume in September after processing $396.4 billion, overtaking Bybit as its market share increased to 10.1%.
The exchange’s derivatives volume rose 38.2% from the previous month. Only Binance and OKX ranked ahead of Gate, while its market share increased by about 1.6 percentage points, the largest gain among leading global exchanges.
Gate also held a 9.1% share of the real-world asset (RWA) perpetual-contract market, ranking among the global top three in that segment. Its average daily trading volume reached about $15 billion during September.
Gate received a Grade A rating in the Exchange Benchmark assessment. The exchange also expanded its product lineup, including the launch of the world’s first stock event contracts.
The initial contracts covered MU, SKHYNIX and 宇树科技. They offered five-minute and 15-minute bullish or bearish positions without leverage or margin.
Gate also launched Gate Money, an integrated financial app that supports independent electronic bank accounts, payments, currency exchange and daily payments involving stocks and other assets. The product builds on Gate’s expansion beyond crypto trading into a broader financial-services offering.
The exchange added the Gate Card, a crypto-linked card launched through a partnership with Visa, and introduced an on-chain trading tool. Gate previously announced Gate Money as a service combining crypto, stocks and payments within one account system.
