U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) ETFs shed approximately $150.8 million on Oct. 12 as withdrawals from BlackRock’s funds drove losses across both markets.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded $65.40 million in net outflows, all from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, known as IBIT. Other spot Bitcoin ETFs were flat. Trading volume reached $1.23 billion, while total net assets stood at $106.06 billion at the end of the session.

Ether ETFs lost $85.39 million, extending their outflow streak to 10 consecutive trading sessions. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, or ETHA, accounted for $75.07 million of the withdrawals, while Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust lost $10.33 million.

Ether ETF trading volume totaled $634 million, with total net assets of $15.86 billion.

The latest outflows followed a heavier week of withdrawals. Bitcoin ETFs lost approximately $681 million during the week ended Oct. 9, while Ether ETFs shed about $542 million. ETF net flows reflect share creations and redemptions during trading sessions but do not by themselves establish why investors bought or sold.
