Meta, Broadcom Could Approach $2 Trillion Market Caps in 2027 Scenario

Twelve-month analyst targets imply a valuation near $2 trillion for Meta and about $2.48 trillion for Broadcom, assuming relatively stable share counts.

Meta Platforms and Broadcom could approach $2 trillion market caps in a 2027 scenario based on current share counts and 12-month analyst price targets, although neither company has announced such a valuation forecast.

Meta closed at $742.96 on Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC), giving it a calculated market capitalization of $1.8308 trillion based on 2.464 billion shares outstanding. Its 12-month average analyst price target is $808.18.

At that target, Meta would be valued at nearly $2 trillion if its share count remained broadly unchanged. Buybacks, new share issuance and other changes in outstanding shares could alter the price needed to reach that threshold.

Broadcom closed at $354.73 on Oct. 12, with 4.774 billion shares outstanding and a calculated market capitalization of $1.6933 trillion. Its average 12-month price target is $519.21, based on targets from 29 analysts issued during the previous three months.

Applying that target to the current share count would imply a market capitalization of roughly $2.48 trillion. The calculation extends a 12-month target into a 2027 scenario and therefore depends on an additional timing assumption.

Broadcom’s results have been supported by demand for custom AI accelerators and networking equipment. The company reported $29.591 billion in fiscal third-quarter 2026 revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 2, up 86% from a year earlier. Free cash flow reached $13.7 billion, while AI semiconductor revenue rose 221% year over year to $16.7 billion.

“Demand for our custom AI accelerators and networking continues to be very strong,” Broadcom President and CEO Hock Tan said.

Broadcom expects about $34.8 billion in fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 revenue, including $21.7 billion in AI semiconductor revenue.

Meta reported $60.801 billion in second-quarter 2026 revenue, up 28% from a year earlier. Net income was $15.848 billion for the quarter ended June 30.

“AI is accelerating our core business today, powering our next generation of products, and opening the door to entirely new enterprise opportunities,” Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said.

Meta also announced the Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full models on Oct. 12. Muse Wonder became available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code, while Muse Wonder Full became available to Muse Code subscribers.

The valuation estimates depend on continued business growth, the use of current analyst targets in a 2027 scenario and relatively stable share counts. The targets generally cover the next 12 months, so they do not establish a confirmed date for either company to reach $2 trillion.
