Dow Rises 0.91% as U.S. Stocks Open Mixed on Oct. 13

U.S. stocks opened mixed on Oct. 13, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.91% while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 moved lower.

The Nasdaq fell 0.82% at the open. The S&P 500 declined 0.09%.

The opening moves left the Dow higher while the two other major U.S. stock indexes started the session in negative territory.
