Sandisk (SNDK) shares fell 2.27% intraday to $1,453.62 on Tuesday as daily and hourly technical indicators remained bearish, while a short-term momentum signal provided only limited support.

SNDK was quoted at $1,453.62 at 10:43 a.m. ET (14:43 UTC) on Oct. 13, down from the previous close of $1,487.33. The figure was an intraday snapshot rather than a closing price.

The stock opened at $1,406.22, reached $1,463.17 and touched $1,401.90 during the session.

Daily momentum remained weak. The 14-day relative strength index was 36.87, below the neutral 50 level, while the daily moving average convergence-divergence histogram was negative at -38.26.

SNDK traded below its 20-session exponential moving average of $1,640.98 and its 50-session EMA of $1,619.08. It remained above the 200-session EMA of $1,239.71.

The hourly averages showed a similar pattern. The 20-hour EMA stood at $1,537.08, below the 50-hour EMA at $1,610.83 and the 200-hour EMA at $1,648.43.

A shorter-term reading was less negative. The 15-minute MACD histogram rose to 0.10 from -0.37 in the previous candle, moving above zero. However, the 15-minute RSI remained below neutral at 36.49.

The trading session unfolded alongside broader pressure in semiconductor stocks after ChangXin Memory Technologies announced progress on a fifth-generation DRAM platform that had entered mass production. The lineup includes LPDDR5X products.

The available market context does not establish that the CXMT announcement caused SNDK’s intraday decline. The technologies are also different: CXMT’s announcement concerned DRAM, while Sandisk is characterized as a NAND flash-storage company.

Sandisk is scheduled to hold its fiscal first-quarter 2027 earnings call at 1:30 p.m. ET (17:30 UTC) on Oct. 29.
