VanEck Semiconductor ETF Extends Losing Streak to Six Sessions
The fund fell 1.2% Tuesday and has lost more than 8% since the decline began, putting it on track for its longest losing streak since May 2025.

The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) fell 1.2% Tuesday, extending its decline to six consecutive trading sessions and putting the fund on track for its longest losing streak since May 2025.
SMH was down 1.2% as of 12:27 p.m. ET (16:27 UTC). The fund has lost more than 8% since the current decline began.
The retreat has unfolded as investors reassess the artificial intelligence trade, face higher financing costs and weigh rising Chinese competition across the semiconductor industry.
Some analysts see the pullback as a pause before a potential uptrend. Historical market patterns also show semiconductor exchange-traded funds have often advanced after comparable declines.
