Pi Network’s PI token traded near $0.0794 on Oct. 14, below $0.08, while the network’s exploration of stablecoin uses has yet to include a broad rollout or a confirmed integration date.

PI was down 18.57% against Tether (USDT) over the 30 days through Oct. 14. That period-wide decline does not establish a connection to the stablecoin plans.

On Oct. 8, Pi Network announced work with Open Standard, the company behind OUSD, to explore rewards programs and other potential uses for the stablecoin across its ecosystem. The project has not announced a launch date for an integration or confirmed that OUSD is live on its network.

Stablecoins are designed to maintain a predictable price and may support payments and other ecosystem activity. Any possible integration would need to account for compliance, while PI remains the network’s primary cryptocurrency.
