Bitcoin’s $80,000-$88,000 Range Puts ETF Cost Basis in Focus
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF cost basis is about $81,500, while buyers from six to 12 months ago have an average cost near $88,000.

Bitcoin (BTC) is in a key range between roughly $80,000 and $88,000, where cost-basis levels and spot buy orders mark areas of support and resistance.
Buyers who acquired BTC six to 12 months ago have an average cost near $88,000, a major resistance level. The cost basis for U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds is about $81,500, while Binance spot buy orders are concentrated around $80,000.
Long-term holders’ realized losses have declined about 85% from their August peak, indicating that selling pressure from holders realizing losses has eased.
A move above $88,000 alongside a return to sustained net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs would indicate a recovery in demand. A decline below both $80,000 and the ETF cost-basis support area could lead to a further drop toward the true market mean near $78,000.
