Ether Accounted for Most of $483 Million in Bitcoin and Ether Liquidations
Ether positions made up $286 million of the total, compared with $197 million for Bitcoin, over a rolling 24-hour period.

Crypto futures positions worth $483 million across Bitcoin and Ether were forcibly closed during a rolling 24-hour period, with Ether accounting for the larger share amid a broad market decline.
Ether (ETH) made up $286 million of the total, while Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for $197 million. That gives Ether about 59% of the combined value, or roughly $89 million more in liquidations than Bitcoin. The $483 million figure covers those two assets.
Liquidations happen when an exchange closes a leveraged position because a trader’s margin has fallen below the maintenance requirement. The liquidation amount measures the value of positions closed, rather than the cash a trader personally lost, so it should not be read as an equivalent loss figure.
The same rolling 24-hour tally also recorded $31 million in Solana liquidations and nearly $19 million in Zcash liquidations. Those amounts are outside the Bitcoin-and-Ether subtotal, so the $483 million figure is not an all-market total.
