Polkadot’s DOT traded at $1.094 at 3:54 a.m. ET (07:54 UTC) on Oct. 15, down 4.95% over 24 hours, after its UTC-day low dipped below two daily chart measures near $1.09.

A calculation using 50 daily closes put the 50-day simple moving average at $1.0882. The lower boundary of the 20-day Bollinger Band, calculated from the latest 20 closes using a two-standard-deviation setting, was $1.0877. The readings were just $0.0005 apart. DOT had fallen below both before the 3:54 a.m. ET snapshot showed it back above them.

The overlap is a technical reference area, but it does not establish a price floor. The UTC-day low of $1.0723 was also near the $1.07 support level identified in an Oct. 7 DOT support analysis.

Polkadot’s native token, DOT, is used for staking, governance and network fees.
