Papertrade Ranked Second in Daily Revenue as Net Losses Reach $49.5 Million
In the Oct. 15 snapshot, its revenue tally included trading fees and liquidity-pool balances above $5 million.

Papertrade’s revenue model ties staker rewards to trading fees and excess pool balances, as cumulative trader net losses reached $49.5 million by the Oct. 15 snapshot.
Papertrade ranked second among protocols for daily revenue in the Oct. 15 snapshot, behind Tether and ahead of Circle. Traders’ cumulative net losses on the platform had reached $49.5 million by then, up from $32.4 million during its first two days, as covered in an earlier account of Papertrade’s launch-period losses.
The protocol’s revenue tally combines a 2% fee on traders’ realized profit and loss when positions close, a 2% fee on collateral lost in liquidations, and liquidity-pool balances above $5 million that are transferred to stakers. The 2% fee take is split evenly between stakers and developers, while stakers receive all of the balance above the pool threshold.
The distribution mechanics combine a share of trading fees with excess pool balances, so staker distributions do not represent a share of trading fees alone.
