Contracts linked to optical and networking stocks fell on Hyperliquid before U.S. trading began Thursday, Oct. 15, as investors weighed companies’ ability to secure capital for AI infrastructure.

Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI), Lumentum (LITE) and Coherent (COHR) contracts on Hyperliquid were quoted at $82.70, $861.24 and $253.90, respectively. The contracts fell 14.90%, 11.71% and 11.66% over 24 hours. Credo (CRDO), Ciena (CIEN) and Corning (GLW) also declined 12.28%, 9.83% and 7.71%, respectively.

On Oct. 12, Broadcom CEO 陈福阳 said access to capital was becoming a key constraint on AI infrastructure expansion as hardware supply limits eased. A hotter-than-expected U.S. consumer price index reading added to concerns about high interest rates and the durability of AI capital spending.

Market attention is shifting toward whether companies can finance large orders and turn AI investment into profits. The latest decline extends earlier losses among U.S.-listed storage and optical communications stocks.
