Ethena’s ENA Falls 11% to $0.1862 After September CPI Release
ENA touched $0.1829 over 24 hours; September CPI rose 3.7% year over year, but timing alone does not establish a cause for the decline.

Ethena (ENA) traded at $0.1862 at 5:58 a.m. ET (09:58 UTC) Oct. 15, down 11.37% in 24 hours as a decline already visible the previous day continued. ENA’s low over that period was $0.1829.
The Oct. 15 reading followed an Oct. 14 four-hour drop to $0.1954, when ENA lost 7.31% over four hours. That sequence shows the decline was underway before the latest reading, but does not establish what caused it.
The September Consumer Price Index (CPI) was released at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC) Oct. 14. Prices rose 0.6% from August, after a 0.4% increase in August, and were up 3.7% from a year earlier. The release came before the latest ENA reading, but the timing does not show that inflation drove the token lower.
Ethena said remaining original investor token releases would move into one tranche beginning Oct. 5, replacing the previous monthly schedule. A separate agreement made certain lock-up waivers for StablecoinX’s ENA effective that day. Any sale or transfer by StablecoinX still requires prior written consent from the Ethena Foundation.
ENA is Ethena’s governance token. The protocol describes USDe as a synthetic dollar backed by crypto assets and hedged with futures positions.
