Jito (JTO) Falls 13% as TVL Drops More Than $193 Million
Jito DAO committed its full 80% share of JTX fees to JTO buybacks and burns through at least Q4 2027. Tracked fees fell 58.56% from Oct. 5 to Oct. 15.

Jito (JTO) fell 13.234% in 24 hours to $0.4563 at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) Thursday, Oct. 15, as the protocol’s tracked value and fees also declined.
Around 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC), Jito’s combined tracked total value locked (TVL) was $1.076 billion, more than $193 million below its Oct. 5 level. Tracked fees fell 58.56% over that span, from $532,600 to $220,729. The TVL measure covers liquid staking, restaking, MEV and DAO products.
A Sept. 27 market snapshot showed JTO up 16.33% at $0.5705.
TVL represents the dollar value of coins held in a protocol’s smart contracts. Because the measure is dollar-denominated, it can fall when deposited assets lose value; the decline alone does not establish that users withdrew funds.
Jito DAO approved using all of its 80% share of JTX fees for JTO buybacks and burns through at least Q4 2027. JTX is a self-custodial trading interface on Solana, and the amount available for buybacks depends on the fees it generates. JTO is Jito’s governance token, giving holders a role in network decisions.
