Crypto Futures Liquidations Reach $932 Million, Mostly in Longs
Long positions accounted for $796 million. Ether had the largest asset-level total, at $281 million, compared with $212 million for Bitcoin.

Crypto futures liquidations reached $932 million across the market over a 24-hour period, with long positions making up about 85% of the total and far exceeding short-position closures.
Long positions accounted for $796 million in liquidations, while short positions totaled $136 million. The $660 million gap left long liquidations nearly six times higher than short liquidations, underscoring how heavily the period’s market-wide closures leaned toward one side of futures trading.
Ether (ETH) had $281 million in liquidations, compared with $212 million for Bitcoin (BTC). Together, the two assets represented $493 million, or about 53% of all liquidations; the remaining $439 million came from other crypto assets.
The largest individual liquidation was a Binance BTCUSDT contract valued at $12.0347 million. That single closure amounted to roughly 1.3% of the market-wide total. The long and short totals add to the $932 million figure. Bitcoin and Ether liquidations are parts of that total, not amounts to add on top.
