Zcash (ZEC) fell about 13% over 24 hours and entered a $1,036–$1,162 demand zone as selling signals mounted in an update at 11 a.m. ET (15:00 UTC) Oct. 15.

The zone’s lower boundary is $1,036. The chart setup treats a move below that floor as invalidating its bullish formation. Spot netflows were negative for two days, pointing to weaker demand relative to selling pressure. Aggregate funding rates flattened at 1.42%, compared with a predicted average of 0.29%.

Long liquidations exceeded $13 million as leveraged bullish positions were forcibly closed. The signals indicated that buyers had yet to regain control of the short-term trend.

ZEC had roughly doubled after breaking out of a pennant pattern in late August, then reached a September high near $1,700.

The immediate technical test is whether ZEC holds within the demand zone, whose lower boundary is $1,036.
