Michael Burry Moves Nearly All Bearish Bets Into Nasdaq-100 and Chip ETF Puts
His Nasdaq-100 puts expire in April 2027 and VanEck Semiconductor ETF puts in June, before the nine-month window he cited for a possible market peak extends into July.

Investor Michael Burry has shifted nearly all of his bearish exposure into puts on the Nasdaq-100 index (NDX) and VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH), while keeping longer-dated positions tied to Palantir Technologies and Oracle.
Separately, Burry has indicated that U.S. stocks could reach a major peak within nine months. Counting from October, that horizon extends into July 2027, after both sets of puts expire.
A put option gives its holder the choice to sell an asset at a set strike price by a specified expiration date. The contracts therefore do not cover the full period in which Burry has framed a possible market peak.
The Nasdaq-100 puts expire in April 2027, while the SMH contracts run through June. Burry is closing his other bearish positions. The shift follows his earlier move to bring forward his market timeline.
