Strategy Adds 250 Bitcoin (BTC) as Barclays Sets $175 Share Target
The purchase lifted Strategy’s holdings to 848,250 BTC as of Oct. 11. Barclays’ target applies to its shares, while Binance’s MSTRUSDT is a separate perpetual contract.

Strategy bought 250 Bitcoin (BTC) for $21.5 million during the week ended Oct. 11, while Barclays’ $175 target applies to its shares rather than Binance’s separate perpetual contract.
The purchase averaged $86,194 per BTC. Strategy held 848,250 BTC as of Oct. 11.
Barclays analyst Nik Cremo raised the target from $160 to $175 on Oct. 9 and maintained an Overweight rating. The target applies to Strategy’s Nasdaq-listed common shares, which trade under MSTR.
Binance’s MSTRUSDT is a separate USDT-settled perpetual contract that tracks Strategy’s common shares and trades 24/7. A target for the shares does not set a price for the contract.
Strategy shares closed 1.89% higher at $154.34 on Oct. 9, when Barclays made the change; the session is covered in an account of Strategy’s Oct. 9 trading.
