QQQUSDT Perpetual Gains 0.98% as Open Interest Falls 4.51%
The USDT-settled contract tracks Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 (QQQ) and remained below all five tracked moving averages.

Binance’s QQQUSDT perpetual rose 0.98% to $729.64 over 24 hours on Oct. 16 as open interest dropped 4.51%, leaving the rebound without confirmation from an increase in outstanding contracts.
Open interest stood at about 147,922 contracts, or roughly $105.6 million in notional value. Falling open interest indicates that positions are closing, but does not show whether long or short positions exited. The decline does not establish short covering or show that new bullish positions entered the market.
The contract remained below all five tracked moving averages. The listed averages ranged from $731.03 for the 50-period simple moving average to $745.83 for the 20-period average. The 14-period relative strength index (RSI) was 41.94, while the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) histogram stood at zero. Chart levels placed support at $720.51 and resistance at $735.28.
QQQUSDT is a USDT-settled perpetual that tracks Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1. It trades around the clock and launched with leverage of up to 10x; trading the contract does not give users ownership of ETF shares. QQQ is designed to follow the Nasdaq-100, which includes 100 large nonfinancial companies listed on Nasdaq.
QQQ’s regular-session close is a separate market observation from the perpetual’s 24-hour move.
