Tech analyst Dan Ives called the pullback in AI-linked stocks a buying opportunity, while Nvidia closed Friday 10.5% below its Oct. 6 level after a 1.43% session decline.

Nvidia ended Friday at $214.13, down $3.10 from the previous close. The closing price was recorded at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC). Its Oct. 16 close was about 10.5% below the $239.24 closing price on Oct. 6.

The 10.5% comparison covers the period from Oct. 6 through Oct. 16; the 1.43% figure is Friday’s session decline.

Ives’ remarks appeared in an interview published Oct. 15 at 6:20 p.m. ET (22:20 UTC). He said demand and backlogs outweighed concerns about rising interest rates across the technology stocks that had sold off. Of the broader AI-stock pullback, Ives said, “it's been a buying opportunity to buy these stocks that have sold off.”
