Dacity Coin, a Solana token, had a $1.89 million market capitalization Oct. 16, the morning after a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer displayed similar wording, as 24-hour trading volume reached $9.56 million.
At 9:25 a.m. ET (13:25 UTC), volume across 14 pools over the preceding 24 hours was 5.1 times the token’s market capitalization at that snapshot. Liquidity stood at $339,900.
The trailer shows the words “DacityCoin AudaCity” on a plane. Dacity Coin’s first trading pool opened on Solana Oct. 11 at 7:16 a.m. ET (11:16 UTC), four days before the trailer appeared.
The matching wording does not establish that Rockstar Games created or endorsed the token, or that the game will support cryptocurrency payments. The trailer and release materials do not connect the Solana asset to the game.
Rockstar lists Grand Theft Auto VI for release Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
