Dogecoin (DOGE) remained short of a daily death cross at the Oct. 16 close, with its 50-day moving average at $0.0882 and 200-day measure at $0.0874 at 7:59 p.m. ET (23:59 UTC).

The 50-day average crossed above the 200-day measure on Oct. 5, forming a golden cross. Since then, the shorter average has turned lower toward the 200-day, but the two remained separated at the latest close.

Dogecoin’s previous daily death cross was recorded on Nov. 10, 2025. The signal forms when the shorter-term 50-day average falls below the 200-day average; the reverse crossover is called a golden cross.

Both measures use past prices. A crossover can lag a market move and does not establish whether a trend will continue.
