Santiment’s Oct. 15 post described a record count of 20,338 Bitcoin wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC, while its linked chart identifies a 100-to-10,000 BTC range.

The post calls the figure an all-time high. The chart’s title is “BTC 100-10K Wallets,” giving the two descriptions different lower limits for the counted group.

The measure counts addresses by balance, not necessarily individual people or entities. One entity can control multiple Bitcoin addresses, and an exchange address can hold funds for multiple users.
