Riot Platforms and MARA Shares Fall More Than 9% as U.S. Indexes Drop

All three major indexes closed lower. Intraday losses reached 0.48% for the Dow, 1.14% for the S&P 500 and 2.39% for the Nasdaq.

Riot Platforms (RIOT) and MARA each fell more than 9% as the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also finished lower, putting both stocks’ declines within a broader U.S. market retreat.

RIOT fell 11.22%, while MARA declined 9.61%. Intraday losses reached 0.48% for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 1.14% for the S&P 500 and 2.39% for the Nasdaq Composite.
