Starknet’s STRK token fell nearly 30% from its Sunday, Oct. 11, peak by Tuesday, Oct. 13, while active addresses and new-wallet counts retreated after a sharp three-day rally.

STRK climbed 122% between Oct. 8 and Oct. 11, closing at $0.1232 on Sunday. The pullback erased part of that advance by Tuesday.

Network activity peaked alongside the token price. Starknet recorded 2,823 active addresses on Oct. 11, while 1,166 new wallets joined that day — about 13 times the recent average. By Oct. 13, active addresses were down 63% and new-wallet counts were down 81% from those levels.

The 10 largest STRK addresses held about 7.09 billion tokens, their highest combined balance since April.

Starknet currently operates as an Ethereum Layer 2 network. On Oct. 8, StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson raised the possibility of an independent Layer 1, which would let Starknet manage its security as a base network. The idea follows earlier discussion of a possible shift away from Ethereum-based scaling. The proposal has no timeline; Starknet’s separate quantum-resistant security goal is aimed at 2027.
