Internet Computer (ICP) recorded $86,172 in seven-day on-chain fees in a reading posted Oct. 16, 11.1% below the $96,924 figure posted 10 days earlier.

If the latest weekly amount continued for 52 weeks, it would total about $4.48 million. That annualized run rate is a calculation, not realized annual revenue.

The fee measure reflects payments for network activity rather than corporate revenue. Applications run as canisters, which use cycles to pay for computing, storage and bandwidth. ICP is converted into cycles through the network’s cycles minting system; canisters consume cycles and cannot convert them back into ICP.

ICP was priced at $2.99 in a market snapshot at 11:33 p.m. ET (03:33 UTC Oct. 17) Oct. 16. The dollar-denominated fee reading alone does not show how much ICP was burned during that seven-day window or establish a direction for the token’s price.
